Hypocontractile Detrusor Underactive bladder

It is diagnosed through a complete urodynamic study and clinically corresponds to a slow and inefficient urination, even if the patient resort to abdominal strength to try to work around the problem.

Failure to enable normal bladder contraction may derive from changes in the nervous system or the bladder muscle and often leads to incomplete voiding (which may lead to the occurrence of urinary tract infections).
