Uroflowmetry with measurement of post-void residue Urine flow test

Uroflowmetry is a simple, painless and non-invasive examination, which consists of urinating into a "funnel" to which is coupled a device that measures the urine flow per unit of time. Based on the measuremen, a graphical representation of this relationship is emited.

Ultrasound measurement of the post-voidal residue is always performed after urofluxometry and, as the name implies, consists of a bladder ultrasound to measure the volume of urine that remained in the bladder after urination.

Preparation: It is necessary that the patient has a normal urge to urinate, which is why it is suggested to fill the bladder, drinking from about half a liter to a liter of water in the half hour before the exam.
