Award Best Surgery Video in the National Symposium APU 2018 | Scientific Activity | Dr. Tito Leitão

The surgery presented by Dr. Tito Palmela Leitão, Uro-oncological, Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeon of Clinica Longeva, received the first prize for the best surgery video of the National Symposium of the Portuguese Urology Association 2018, which took place between the 26th and 28th October, in Albufeira.

Entitled "Laparoscopic Vena Cava Thrombectomy and Radical Nephrectomy in a Malignant Pheochromocytoma Case", the video showed a surgery for excison fo a tumoral thrombus from the inferior vena cava, a pioneer in Portugal for being performed laparoscopically.

In this Symposium, the current gold standard - minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic and robotic - for all urologic oncology surgery, even in cases of high complexity, was one of the main focus,
