Intersticial cystitis Bladder Pain Syndrome
The main associated symptom is pain, often disabling, perceived in the bladder and aggravated by the filling of the bladder.
For this reason, the act of urinating usually allows some relief, even if only momentary, and the bladder, which presents low capacity, causes the patient to urinate very frequently, day and night.
Because it is a form of chronic pelvic pain, the term Bladder Pain Syndrome is currently more accepted.
