On November 23, 2019, the second Lisbon Urology Boot Camp washeld, being a joint project between the European School of Urology (ESU) and the Post-Graduate Training Center in Urology (CFU) of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL), also with the scientific sponsorship of the College of the Specialty of Urology of the Portuguese Order of Physicians (OM) and the Portuguese Association of Urology (APU).

Organized by Dr. Tiago Oliveira and under the coordination of Dr. Tomé Lopes, the ESU's Urology Boot Camp was based on an innovative concept of intensive and standardized training, aiming to provide and train technical skills essential to the daily clinical practice of modern Urology, namely laparoscopy, cystoscopy, transsuretral resection and ureterorrenoscopy.

This project had its first edition in Lisbon in 2018. Due to it's extensive success, in addition to the second edition in Lisbon, an edition was also held in Belgium and courses in Spain and Germany were planned, becoming now a broader programme of the European Urology Association (UAE) with the aim of contributing to the standardization of urology training in the countries of the European Union.

In addition to the quality of the equipments provided for training, the success of the course was also due to the quality of the trainers, in which were included Dr. Sérgio Pereira, Dr. Tito Leitão, Dr. Pedro Oliveira and Dr. Álvaro Nunes.
