On July 4th and 5th, 2025, the 1st Robotic Surgery Congress organized by the Portuguese Association of Robotic Surgery took place.

As Urology is one of the medical-surgical specialties with extensive application of robotic surgery techniques, it was prominently featured, particularly in surgical approaches to the prostate, kidney, and bladder.

The conference gathered a wide panel of national and international specialists and Prof. Dr. Tito Leitao — a leading figure in urological robotic surgery in Portugal — was invited to participate in several talks and to present on surgical techniques involving the kidney.
